The fact is undeniable that real secret to make big money and achieve financial independence is not in staying an employee but starting a small business and turning it into a million dollar venture is also not an easy task.
Here begins the dilemma for ones who are working 9to5 for a regular job but now want to start a business of their own. When they decide they want to be an entrepreneur, they do not know whether they should just quit their jobs or hang on until the business is on a more solid footing.
To bring you out of this confused situation, I bring you few questions, which will help you take your decision.
Question # 1- Do you love taking challenges?
Judge yourself if you can boldly accept the risks of starting and running new business daringly. If you are capable of taking challenges capably, you may begin with your business but if you categorize in people who are more prudent in decision-making, then think carefully before quitting your jobs.
Question # 2 - Do you have strong backing up capital?
Idea of giving up a good job seems to be workable if you have sufficient capital to start and run a business successfully. In a permanent job, you are sure of getting a monthly paycheck but in a self-made business, it may take months to make your first sale. Therefore, judge your financial requirements before giving up your job.
Question # 3 - What goals you want to achieve?
You need to be very focused and clear about your responsibilities. With the increasing essentials of life, everyone wants to earn and achieve more. You should know how to manage your family if your business fails or how to fulfill your family requirements after you quit your job. Do think about your responsibilities before taking any decision.
Question # 4 - Are you sure, your business will earn you back?
Try to invest in the business, where you see a strong chance of earning back – at least more than what your job was bringing you. If you are sure that your new business will earn you more in a month, what you use to get from your regular job, then do not miss the opportunity but if you are suspicious about the business success, think before leaving a stable job.
Question # 5 - Are you prepared to work for long hours?
When a person opts to start a business of his own, he needs to put in extra hard work and give up his leisure hours, while a 9to5 job means you are working for specific hours. You need to find out if you have enough time to make your business flourish or it is better to do a job and give your time to other priorities as well.
This post will definitely make you question yourself about your goals and priorities of life. Personally, I think business brings delayed results but it is a fact that one can earn more by spending time on the business than on the job.
So, are you prepared to find a favorable option for yourself?
